Two Tuscaloosa City Schools to offer parking for UA Football games

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. — The Tuscaloosa City School system welcomes The University of Alabama (UA) football fans to take advantage of the available parking at two campuses for game days. Central High School and Tuscaloosa Magnet – Elementary and Middle Schools will offer parking on its school campuses for UA football home games. Parking is open to guests on Saturday mornings in advance of the games.

Those who plan to park at the Tuscaloosa Magnet Schools should enter the parking lot from Campus Drive. The fee for parking vehicles, excluding RVs, is $10 (cash only), and tickets will be provided for display in the windows of the vehicles. UA shuttle service to the stadium is available near the Tuscaloosa Magnet School campus before and after games.

Central High School parking guests may enter the parking lot from either 15th or 17th Streets. Parking fees are $175 for RVs and $20 for other vehicles. Tickets will also be presented for placement in vehicle windows.

Tuscaloosa Magnet School – Middle Principal Kristi Thomson views the school parking availability as a good option with its convenient access to University Blvd. East and Interstate 20/59.

“Every year, football fans tell us how much they enjoy parking here,” said Thomson. “With our lit parking lots, the shuttles nearby, and our easy access to University Blvd., it’s a bargain.”

Meanwhile, Central High School Athletic Director Richelle Adams praises the school’s close proximity to Bryant-Denny Stadium.

“The Central High campus provides a safe, convenient and friendly atmosphere,” Adams said.

Proceeds from these events support their respective schools.
